I'm not sure why, but at least I can say that something interesting will probably happen. And then what a blog I'll have.Geritopiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12028060628836516606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17864464.post-1141014179965334532006-02-26T20:22:00.000-08:002006-02-26T20:22:00.000-08:00Don Knotts provided me an a close pal wit one of o...Don Knotts provided me an a close pal wit one of our favrit games. As I recall, that same theater alienated the whole community when they attempted running X-rated flicks. They really did a great job of putting themselves out of business.

"Ghost and Mr. Chicken" music scared me along with the image of the blood on the organ keys. Then again, I've always been a fan of films that weren't shy of scaring kids a little --most kids have fun with it.Geritopiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12028060628836516606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17864464.post-1140985639011947042006-02-26T12:27:00.000-08:002006-02-26T12:27:00.000-08:00Yes, it's a sad day. But now he's up in heaven with Aunt Bea & Otis.

I have to say, as a child in the 1960's I watched The Ghost & Mr. Chicken one too many times, at the Saturday kids matinee at the Fox Theatre, Palos Verdes Peninsula Center. The Fox seemed to have a limited repertoire of main features, which the brought out several times a year: Mr. Chicken, The Computer Who Wore Tennis Shoes, and It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (which I think unfortunately was remade more recently. As with all such remakes, what was the point? The original was only interesting because of the fading celebrities in the cast: Phil Silvers, Buddy Hackett, Milton Berle...).

PV ChollyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
