My vote for best ride at Disneyland would have to be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. That's because it's very economical and effective. Toward the end, you get the sound of an oncoming train and a bright lamp bearing down on you. What else do you need?
There's always that impulse to go to the DL park Anaheim just for that one ride. But it's such a hassle and not a very practical matter. Sometimes you just need your fix and you're on your way. So the solution would be to install complete modular Mr. Toad's rides in various storefront spaces, accessible and as plentiful as the neighborhood 7-Eleven.
So goes my utopian ideal.

Thanks Tor.
Nothing like a floating head in neutral space. This is a natural haven for floating heads.
In a decade or so, virtual reality should be advanced enough that we can experience Toad (and Peter Pan, and Snow White's Scary Adventure, etc.) from the comfort of our home, and never have to go to Anaheim again.
But around 1970, I bought a rubber chicken from the magic shop on Main Street USA. And that just can't be replicated by computers.
I love rubber chicken stories.
My oldest brother used to taunt me with his rubber chicken, which is to say that I also wanted one but he wouldn't tell me where he'd bought his. Having a rubber chicken at a certain age is critical to proper development and self-esteem.
